What I understand about sustainability is the complementary between human consuming and resources. While people using the resource they should be able to produce back to nature in order to achieve continuous.
Sustainability have much things deal on human behaviors. Waste becomes one of the most important obstructive factors nowadays. We can see it everywhere even when we didn’t consume anything. Therefore,Sustainable development consists of balancing local and global efforts to meet basic human needs without destroying or degrading the natural environment.
As we all know that paper waste is one of the major pollution that against environmentally friendly. Paper pollution is another effect of paper waste and it’s a serious problem.
From our newspapers to our paper wrappings, paper is still everywhere and most of them are ending up in our landfllls creating a staggering amount of paper waste. There was a time when paper was a rare and precious commodity. Now it fills our planet. It was initially invented as a tool for communication, but today, paper is used more for packaging.To produce paper takes twice the energy used to produce a plastic bag. Everything takes energy to produce. In the case of paper, it also involves cutting down trees. Deforestation is one of the main environmental problems we’re facing in these times.
As for paper waste, i have done some experiment to deal with the waste paper that come from shredder. I turned them into an thick paperboard. (About the process: as I get the waste from the shredder, I mix it with water and glue. Then, I pounded and boiled them into something sticky. After that, tiled the mixture onto a products which are permeable to air and water. Airing it in the room temperature)The aim of the experiment is to reuse the waste and for the project i use the paper that i made to create an fake wall. This not only let people see the recycle but also feel the texture while they are touching it.
